Leadership Updates

We are delighted to tell you of three others the Lord is identifying as special gifts to this ministry. The Board of Directors has appointed Rexanne Harrison and Amy Hicks as two new members of the Board.

They both have a  strong relationship with Christ, a love for Ambassador Camp and they were both under Aunt Sara’s discipleship ministry through the Bible Club. We believe that they will be used by the Lord to maintain the Christ-centered and Biblically based heart of the camp.

The Board has also appointed Sara Bailey Wooten as the new assistant director. Her love for Jesus runs deep as does her love for camp. She too was under Aunt Sara’s discipleship. We believe that as a millennial she is uniquely positioned to eventually lead camp into the future.

For the foreseeable future, she will continue in her Bible teaching position even as she increases her time with camp to learn more of the camp’s operational specifics. We trust the Lord to reveal His timing in the transition. We are so very thankful for God’s clear direction in her appointment!

Update as of Jan. 2022, this new year brings a new chapter for both Ambassador Camp and two incredible women who have served Camp humbly for decades. Aunt Becky Wray and Aunt Carol Yow have officially retired!

We can’t even begin to express how much these two ladies mean to the ministry of Ambassador Camp. So it is with grateful hearts that we celebrate the contributions that Aunt Becky and Aunt Carol have made to Camp and the lives impacted for the Kingdom because of their dedication to serving the Lord at this place.

While we will miss them dearly, we are delighted that their commitment to serve the Lord with their time, talents & hearts will continue during this next season in new ways.

As previously shared, the Board has appointed Aunt Sara Bailey Wooten as the new Director of Ambassador Camp. We ask that you continue to pray for these transitions!

We are so grateful that the Lord’s faithfulness to Ambassador Camp, Aunt Becky, Aunt Carol, and to you as well, has not and will not change!

“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭100:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
